![]() Ongoing opportunities: (C.L.A.) is accepting applications for internships and volunteer opportunities. We are seeking responsible, enthusiastic individuals who have strong oral and written communications skills and an interest in art law, arts administration, or arts advocacy. Clinical students, interns and volunteers have contributed their energies to both ongoing projects and to special projects. Hours are arranged on an individual, project by project basis. Examples of ongoing programs include: Lawyer Referral Service, which annually refers over 1,200 Californian artists and arts organizations to our panel attorneys; Arts Arbitration & Mediation Services, which assists disputants to resolve their arts related controversies through conciliation, mediation, arbitration, meeting facilitation or early neutral evaluation; ArtHouse, which provides information about the availability and requirements of artists' live/work space and advocates for the development of additional arts space; Resource Library, in which reference materials, legal forms, sample contracts, and useful books are maintained for the use of C.L.A.'s constituents; Educational Programs, which provides part day or full day seminars on special topics of interest to a particular sector of C.L.A.'s membership (e.g., taxation, music business, forming a nonprofit organization, artist's housing); Arts & Community Development, which provides arts jobs training, placement and mentoring opportunities for interested teenagers and adults.
