California Lawyers for the Arts has members representing all arts disciplines, as well as attorneys, accountants, teachers and other friends of the organization. We count you in when we speak with legislators and other policy makers, and your membership helps us to secure the grants which we obtain from public and private agencies to move our work forward. In addition, you receive the following benefits: BENEFITS Members become part of a vital organization which responds to their needs on an individual basis. Members in all categories will be placed on our mailing list. 30% discount on legal referrals 20% to 66% discount on educational programs 10% discount on all publications available through C.L.A. Free use of art/law library PRICES (For one year) Individual Memberships: $20 Senior Citizens Organizational Memberships: $50 Small Organization (Budget less than $100,000) You can download a membership application in PDF format. In order to view and print our PDFs, you will need version 4.0 or better of Adobe's Acrobat Reader. You can download a free copy of the reader from Adobe's website. We also offer a print-and-mail C.L.A. membership application that will display in your browser window. Print the form, fill it out and mail it to the address listed. Thanks! Referral Panel membership is open to members of the California Bar who qualify under our Rules of Operation. Interested Northern California attorneys should request an additional packet of information, by calling our Referral Coordinator at (415) 775-7200 . Southern California attorneys should call (310) 998-5590. A panel application is available for download in Word format: panelapplication.doc. In addition to the benefits listed above, panel membership entitles attorneys to consult with more experienced attorneys on the panel without charge. Panel attorney membership costs $60 per year. The panel fee is reduced for attorneys accepting only pro bono cases. In addition, an entire firm can join to accept only pro bono referrals. Schools, libraries, art organizations and companies join in order to be a part of our advocacy efforts. In addition to the benefits listed above, organizational members receive two registration fee discounts for each educational program, a discount on speakers, and meeting facilitation services for a low fee.
