How the Lawyer Referral Service Works
Who qualifies for the service?
Creative artists, arts organizations, inventors — or individuals with a creative arts legal question — are all eligible to contact California Lawyers for the Arts for assistance with their legal matters. CLA is a State Bar Certified Legal Referral & Information Service [LRIS] and has been serving the creative arts community since 1974. CLA matches clients with well-screened, highly-qualified attorneys selected from it's LRIS panel. Attorneys become members of the LRIS panel by applying for membership and by meeting the LRIS membership requirements which adhere to the State Bar of California's certification standards as described in the California Business & Professions Code.
