An introduction to the basic financial and legal structures used in film financing today. Fundraising and fund development from angel investors to private equity capital will also be discussed. Distribution strategies will be keyed to several levels of production.

Eric Hayashi is an independent producer of feature motion pictures, such as “Only the Brave,” currently in domestic and foreign distribution. A former executive of the Film Arts Foundation, Kansas Arts Commission, and the National Endowment for the Arts, he is developing a slate of four features with his partner through their company United Producers Entertainment.
