Fashion Law: Protecting the Intellectual Property Rights of Apparel Brands
1.5 Hours CA MCLE Available
with Christa Perez, Esq.

Program:

Whether you represent the start-up fashion designer or the apparel conglomerate with a stable of fashion brands, protecting your client’s intellectual property rights inevitably involves trademark law, copyright law, and even patent law. Knowing what you can and should protect through registration and enforcement in light of your client’s budget and overall business plan is critical.

Join California Lawyers for the Arts and Christa Perez, Esq. for a workshop about the type of intellectual property rights the typical fashion designer and apparel brand has, how to protect those rights, and practical considerations for enforcing those rights in the face of infringement, counterfeit products and gray market goods.

Presenter:

Christa Perez has practiced law in the apparel industry in both Los Angeles and Orange County for over 15 years. She founded Ladera Law Group in 2014, where her practice consists of general business and corporate law, as well as intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and licensing. Ms. Perez works extensively with clients in the action sports and apparel industries, including several prominent California lifestyle brands.

Location:

Ken Edwards Center
1527 4th Street
Santa Monica, CA 90401

Parking:

Parking is available at the Ken Edwards Center. Additional parking is available at nearby parking structures. Parking validation is not provided.
