Title: Dealing with Difficult Parties and Addressing Future Issues

Come join us for an engaging presentation about handling difficult parties, as well as attending to the future issues that may arise after mediation. Adrienne Brungess, a top professor of alternative dispute resolution and negotiation at McGeorge School of Law, will lead the presentation. This will be a free event ($5-10 donation suggested) with light snacks and beverages offered.

Bio:  Professor Adrienne Brungess is a McGeorge alumna ('96) who joined the McGeorge School of Law faculty in 2002 after seven years as a family law practitioner, during which time she served as a judge pro tem in family court, facilitating settlement before trial. She received training through the Sacramento Mediation Center, where she also mediated cases. She currently teaches in McGeorge's distinctive legal writing program, Global Lawyering Skills (GLS), recently ranked #20 nationally, and teaches popular alternative dispute resolution and negotiation courses. Professor Brungess is a contributing author to the Global Lawyering Skills text, a comprehensive lawyering skills text written by McGeorge Global Lawyering Skills faculty, authoring chapters on negotiation and intercultural competence, and she is a frequent conference presenter on a variety of topics.
