California Lawyers for the Arts is proud to present its fourth annual bi-national symposium, INTERSECTIONS: Art and Law at the Border. With a focus on the geo-political context of the Tijuana-San Diego region, the intention of this gathering is to highlight artists, activists, lawyers, scholars, and researchers who's work navigates the intersection of art, praxis and legal issues.

The San Diego-Tijuana region has been named the 2024 Design Capital of the World and with this designation there is a call to construct more equitable futures at and across the border. With over 100,000 daily crossings the region constitutes one of the worlds busiest borders. This  dynamic and bustling locality is home to a unique and vibrant community that holds a plethora of vantage points, experiences, and insights into what a more equitable future must include.  Characterized by the ebb and flow of migration and fraught by the push and pull of political attitudes, a borderzone is a place where art flourishes as both creative expression and a call to action.

We hope you will join us for INTERSECTIONS 2022 as we continue the conversation.

*Webinars will occur weekly on Thursday evenings from 6-8PM PST, beginning June 2nd  and running through June 23rd.*

Join us for our closing reception which will be held at The Front Gallery in San Ysidro on June 30th, from 6-8 pm!

*Registration for any of the panel conversations includes access to the closing reception.*
