Join us to learn how to efficiently track income and expenses throughout the year, and don't miss the deductions you can make as a self-employed creative. Topics will include record keeping, Form 1040, Form 1099, Schedule C, the self-employment schedule, deductions, hobby losses, home offices, and more.

About our Speaker:

John has been practicing public accounting on Montgomery Street for the last 20 years with four regional firms. He joined Delagnes, Mitchell & Linder LLP in 2019 and continues to practice in their tax department preparing and reviewing individual, partnership, corporate, and fiduciary (trusts) tax returns. He graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Liberal Arts, the University of San Francisco with a Masters of Business Administration, and Golden Gate University with a Masters in Taxation. John is the fourth generation of his family to work in San Francisco’s financial district; his great grandmother, Katherine (McLaughlin) McGovern, was employed here as a stenographer in the 1870s. John grew up on the SF Peninsula and currently lives in San Mateo with his wife Andrea and their two Golden Retrievers.
