Social Media for the Creative Arts Community

With Francine Ward, Esq.

Social media is the hottest discovery since email. It's fun, fast paced, interesting, and allows you to connect with friends, family, colleagues, and clients in an instant. And for writers, artists, photographers, and other creative entrepreneurs, it levels the playing field, allowing you to display your work and develop a network and marketing plan at a fraction of the cost.

So how do you get started? What should you do first?

In this workshop you’ll learn:

1. How to get started on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
2. How to put together a profile that will capture attention
3. Three legal landmines to be aware of when using social media

Presenter: Francine Ward is a 1989 graduate of Georgetown University Law Center. Recently she was named one of the "Top Lawyers in the Desert" by Palm Springs Life Magazine. She brings you expertise as a business and intellectual property attorney with a focus on copyright, trademark, publishing, social media, and business law. Francine’s experience marries her legal expertise with her practical and professional knowledge of social media. She earned a 6-figure deal from Random House for her very first book and uses social media extensively to reach her clients and readers.
