Rock Your Contracts:
Hands-on with Musician and Band Agreements
w/ Jesse Morris, Esq.

Are you at career point where you’re signing contracts or wondering about your agreements with band members, management, and producers?  With so many tools for distribution and marketing, today’s musicians have a better chance of “making it” than ever before, but when things are going well, contracts (or the lack thereof) can easily be a concern.  This workshop will provide a hands-on discussion about the simple contracts needed to build and maintain a successful music career.

During the workshop, we will discuss split-sheets, work-for-hires, and agreements for bands, management, and producers.  Questions are encouraged throughout the workshop.
Presenter:

Jesse Morris is a Los Angeles based entertainment lawyer and musician who has been in several rock acts.  A graduate of UC Berkeley and UC Hastings College of the Law, his professional areas of expertise include contract reviews, advising, and negotiations, trademarks, copyright law, publishing, and recording agreements.  At his own firm, Morris Music Law, Jesse primarily represents songwriters, artists, bands, producers, managers, labels, publishers, and entrepreneurs.
