National AAMS

A National Mediation Program for the Arts
Arts Resolution Services, a national collaborative project funded by the NEA, several foundations and government agencies, coordinates alternative dispute resolution, facilitation and negotiations services for the use of the arts community throughout the country. Individual artists as well as arts organizations can use Arts Resolution Services to resolve conflicts concerning copyright, contracts, facilities, board and staff relations, artistic control and censorship. Our panels of trained mediators and facilitators include artists and arts administrators, as well as accountants, attorneys and others. Experience includes mediation of disputes and facilitation of organizational and community planning processes. All sessions are tailored for the needs of the participants, while confidentiality is assured throughout the process.
